The most important work being made in the world right now is being made in places the producing industry has not yet turned to look. GMF turns to look. Then we build the stage.
Global Mosaic Foundation is an international theatrical production institution. It exists because the producing industry’s field of vision is too narrow. Work of extraordinary merit is being made outside the major capitals, outside the established networks, outside the funding structures that determine what reaches the stage. GMF is the institution that finds theatre of that calibre, funds it, and produces it at the level it deserves.
“The machine” is the apparatus a production actually needs. GMF holds all five parts of it in-house, which is why a work can come in with nothing but merit and still reach a stage.
Discovery, selection, dramaturgy and development. We decide what deserves the whole apparatus.
Finance, rights, contracting and casting. The conditions a work needs, assembled around it.
Direction, design, rehearsal and technical realisation. The work made at its full intended scale.
Venues, touring, transfers and partnerships. The distance a work is carried without being diluted.
Publishing, documentation, archive and canon. What remains once the room goes dark.
Working internationally, across five continents.
Fragments of Brilliance is GMF’s producing programme for playwrights and theatre-makers whose work is of exceptional merit and cannot secure funding, production infrastructure, or institutional support through any other route.
It is not an incubator.
It is not a grant.
It is a producing partnership with an institution.

A Six Feet Apart Musical

After Chekhov

A work drawn in dialogue with the theatrical heritage of each place we inhabit.
A place-responsive fourth work drawn from the theatrical heritage of each place the company inhabits. It prevents the season’s argument from hardening into a universal answer, allowing local tradition, history and voice to alter the repertory that arrives.

The Innerwild Fables is a series of dark fairytales for adults by Georgie Castilla. Across a shared mythic world, creatures, bargains and transformations expose the intimate workings of love, fear and power. Each standalone play confronts its characters with the consequences of what they do to others, including what they do in the name of protection or belonging.
Creative Development
An intensive, CEO-led dramaturgical development programme, commissioned and paid for by the playwright. It subjects a play to the interrogation, reconstruction and practical testing required for major-stage production. Forge is not a workshop and not a feedback session.
